Built-In Storage Solutions Singapore
Space-saving storage designed around your actual layout — LED-lit shelving, display units and cabinetry built to use every corner properly, not just fill it.

Storage Built for the Space You Actually Have
Most storage problems in Singapore homes aren't really about lacking space — they're about the space being the wrong shape for standard furniture. An awkward alcove, a bulkhead that eats into a corner, a gap beside a window that's too narrow for anything off-the-shelf.
Built-in storage is measured and built for that exact space, so nothing is wasted on filler panels or oversized units that don't fit. It's the same carpentry team behind our custom carpentry work, applied specifically to storage and shelving.
What We Build
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Open Shelving | LED-lit display shelving, bookcases, and open storage walls |
| Closed Cabinetry | Full-height cabinets with soft-close doors and internal dividers |
| Under-Stair Storage | Custom-fitted storage in awkward under-stair or bulkhead spaces |
| Display Units | Glass-front cabinets with integrated lighting for collectibles or retail display |
| Entryway Storage | Shoe cabinets, coat storage and bench-style entryway units |
| Commercial Storage | Back-of-house storage walls and staff storage for offices and F&B units |
Open Shelving vs Closed Cabinetry
Open Shelving
Best where you want items visible and accessible — books, display pieces, frequently used kitchenware. LED strip lighting inside the shelving makes a real difference to how the space reads, especially in a dim corner or hallway.
Closed Cabinetry
Better for anything you want out of sight — off-season items, bulk storage, clutter. Soft-close hinges and full-extension drawer runners cost a little more but make a noticeable difference in daily use.
Where Storage Gets Wasted
- Under stairs — almost always left as dead space or a single deep cupboard when it can be zoned into several usable compartments
- Beside wardrobes — narrow gaps that standard furniture can't use, but custom carpentry can
- Above door frames — overlooked vertical space that works well for rarely used items
- Bulkhead recesses — often boxed in and ignored instead of fitted with shelving
Material and Lighting Notes
Same principles as our carpentry work generally: plywood carcasses for anywhere near humidity or heavy loading, laminate finishes for durability, soft-close hardware as standard. LED lighting is wired during installation with a concealed driver, not added afterward — that's the difference between built-in lighting and a stuck-on strip light.

Storage Solutions FAQ
What's the difference between built-in storage and buying furniture?
Built-in storage is measured and built for your exact space, so it uses awkward corners, alcoves and gaps that standard furniture can't. It also integrates lighting and finishes to match the rest of your carpentry, rather than sitting as a separate piece.
Should I choose open shelving or closed cabinets?
Open shelving suits items you want visible and accessible, like books or display pieces, and benefits from LED lighting. Closed cabinetry suits anything you'd rather keep out of sight. Most storage walls combine both rather than using only one.
Can you build storage into an awkward space like under the stairs?
Yes, this is one of the most common requests. Under-stair space is almost always usable for zoned storage compartments rather than being left as one deep, hard-to-access cupboard.
Do you install LED lighting inside storage units?
Yes. LED strips are wired in during installation with a concealed driver, which looks and lasts differently from a lighting strip stuck on after the fact.
What material do you use for storage carcasses?
Plywood for anywhere near humidity or heavy loading, which handles Singapore's climate better than MDF. Finishes are typically laminate for durability, with soft-close hinges and drawer runners as standard.
Do you build storage for offices and commercial units, not just homes?
Yes. Back-of-house storage walls, staff storage and display units are common in office and F&B fit-outs — the same carpentry approach applies, sized to commercial use.
Can storage be added without a full renovation?
Yes. Storage-only projects are common, especially in units where the rest of the space doesn't need work. We measure and quote it as a standalone scope.
